Want the Collector’s Edition of Aion but couldn’t get it? Check the NCSoft store from Thursday at noon (PDT), through Friday, October 30, 2009 and you can upgrade to the Aion Collector’s Edition for $10.
The Collector’s Edition includes these in-game items:
- Black Cloud Wings (40 seconds of additional flight time)
- Black Cloud Earring (HP and MP boost)
- Character title (Settler of Aion) with stat boost
- Purple dye for 10 in-game items
- Two character emotes

The Asheron’s Call servers are being patched today and along with some miscellaneous changes and fixes you will find that:
- Two handed weapons are more readily available in all tiers of loot and Viamontian masters are offering training in the art of Two Handed Combat.
- Gearcrafting is being introduced. This allows you to craft trinkets which enhance health, stamina, mana, XP gain, damage and damage reduction.
- Eleven new augmentations will be introduced. These will:
allow foci free casting
increase magic, missile or melee skills by 10 points
boost and mitigate damage
increase critical hit frequency and multiplier - Quest XP will now pass up from vassals to patrons to monarchs to encourage more questing
- A new companion for you if you are an active subscriber on November 2nd
On the 2nd of November, special events will take place all day to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the game and
Creatures from the past 10 years are suddenly going to appear all over Dereth. Asheron, Elysa, Borelean and others will need players help to contain this “invasion” from the past.

I was reading newsletter #24 which is mostly about the release of update 5.6, Nights of Lost Souls, and the new subscriber reward system. With this patch they are introducing the Veteran Points system which gives you points for subscribing to the game. Like other MMOs you spend these points on in game items. What caught my attention, simply because its the first time I’ve seen it advertised within a game, and well I am a male, is this statement,
Ever fancied a pet hyena? Well, now you can get one. In this update we are introducing Veteran Points. You will earn these points by staying subscribed to the game, and you can use them to purchase a wide variety of special items – from breast enlargements to pet hyenas!
In addition to larger breasts, the update also introduces two new seasonal solo quests and a group quest. The Iron Tower is a new high-level dungeon waiting for you and your big breasts to enter. And if you recruit six friends to play the game you can win this gold ring to take the attention away from your bigger assets.

Star Wars Galaxies applied Hotfix14.3 to servers this morning with just a few fixes. For the Death Troopers content:
- Canisters should be working all of the time
- The prison outfit has been fixed
Your player should also be completely oriented with a vehicle when riding one. Previously, only the bottom half of the character was oriented correctly to the vehicle’s position leading to awkward poses.
Everquest 2 made the Race Change potion available on the Station Marketplace today. Given the recent changes to racial traits should you have to pay $25 to change your race? Its not like you had much of a choice in the changes to the racial traits. So why not make an in-game quest to acquire the potion? Is this taking micro-transactions too far?
