World of Warcraft announced this week that they are giving away loot for subscribers as a way of celebrating their 5th anniversary. Its hard to believe that its been 5 years since millions flooded the servers and “Wow” became known as more than an exclamation. Over 100 MMOs have started operation since then, some of them have ceased operation, and none have come close to matching the popularity of World of Warcraft. And while its not my favorite MMO, I do find myself resubscribing every expansion to at least level my toons and check out the new scenery before moving on to other games.
Starting this Wednesday and every Wednesday through the 2nd of December, if you were a subscriber on the 26th of October, and remain a subscriber through the sweepstakes period, you will automatically be entered in a weekly drawing for some awesome prizes.

World of Warcraft Community Site provides a look at the new Dungeon System that will be replacing the LFG feature in the upcoming content patch. This appears to be a real treat and welcome feature for the game.
Highlights include:
- Cross-Realm Instances and Grouping allows you to group with players from other realms. However, you won’t be able to manually invite specific players.
- Teleporting into instances and back to where you were before you went to the instance, just like the current Battleground system.
- Daily Random Dungeons where you can earn emblems for slaying the final boss in heroic and normal difficulty dungeons.
- A new non-combat pet is available for participating in PUGs.
- Looking for Raid (/lfr) will provide information on those looking for a raid dungeon group.
- “Need for Greed” loot option will be updated to recognize when someone can equip an item. It will also prevent pure melee classes from need rolling on spellpower items and classes will be limited to their dominant armor type.

I see on the World of Warcraft Community website that World of Warcraft has released more images of Tier 10 Armor Sets. Today they have included the Mage, Rogue and Warlock. This leaves only the armor for the healer classes, the Priest, Paladin and Shaman to be revealed. Check them out.
You liking what you see? Or is it just more of the same? Are you tired of looking like every other character of your class and want some variety like in Star Wars Galaxies? Let us know what you think about the new sets.
World of Warcraft released a sneak preview of the new Tier 10 armor sets that will debut with patch 3.3. Images of the sets are currently available for the Death Knight, Druid, Hunter and Warrior. Check them out here.

Blizzard released patch 3.2.2 today. Highlights include the return of the Brood Mother, Onyxia, two new pets and one new mount.
The Onyxia encounter is available for testing as a 10- and 25- player raid. One of the rarest drops to win is the Brood of Onyxia, a 310%-speed mount modeled after Onyxia. The two new pets are the Little White Stallion and the Little Ivory Raptor. And as usual, bugs have been squashed, skills changed, and the interface tweaked. Check out the patch notes on Wow.com or in your patcher.
