Blizzard released patch 3.2.2 today. Highlights include the return of the Brood Mother, Onyxia, two new pets and one new mount.
The Onyxia encounter is available for testing as a 10- and 25- player raid. One of the rarest drops to win is the Brood of Onyxia, a 310%-speed mount modeled after Onyxia. The two new pets are the Little White Stallion and the Little Ivory Raptor. And as usual, bugs have been squashed, skills changed, and the interface tweaked. Check out the patch notes on Wow.com or in your patcher.
Turbine pushed out the September update titled “Cogs in the Machine” on Friday. The lore reads in part:
In a roughly excavated cavern deep beneath the surface of northwestern Osteth, a Virindi ranked Master among the Apostate faction consulted with a group lower-ranked Servants who were bound to its will. The Master had received personal instructions from the shadowy Consul who directed the entire Apostate faction. It sat at the center of a circle of five Servants, turning to each to receive its report.
Release note highlights include:
- Festival Season is upon us. Masks and Guises and Pumpkins, oh my!
- The Arcanum is seeking to learn more about the mysterious clockwork soldiers.
- Also the next stage in the Thug quest will be available. Fiona will still be in her cage due to the problems this month.
- A Scholar has appeared in Eastham who is particularly interested some recent events.
- The monthly kill tasks are updated.
- The monthly Explorer Task has been updated.
- Monster Fights, The Carnezi Race, and Fiona should no longer have problems with locking up or starting.
- Anyone who was stuck on the Apostate Nexus Quest started by Ned the Clever by not being able to pick up the shard will be able to pick up the shard after talking to Ned again.

Razer, manufacturer of cool gaming keyboards and mice, has introduced a new mouse, Naga, which better supports your MMO sessions. This 5600dpi Laser mouse has 17 “MMO-optimized buttons”, including a 12 button grid arranged right under your thumb. It is supported on both the PC and Mac and preorders are being taken now for $80 and should land on your doorstep in 3 to 4 weeks.
Take a look at this video on YouTube showing how to configure the mouse for use with World of Warcraft. They even have an in-game addon to setup the mouse.
Many hardcore gamers prefer the keyboard over the mouse? Will 12 keys placed right under your right thumb make you switch? Engadget has a hands on review of the Naga here. Check it out.

Dungeon Runners Producer and Lead Programmer, Stephen Nichols, indicated today that they are shutting down the game on January 1, 2010. While that’s the bad news for those who play the game, the good news is this:
I think we’ve come up with a nice package for all players with paid memberships as of today (9/16/2009). You’ll be getting a 30 day game time serial code and digital copies of City of Heroes Architect Edition and Guild Wars Prophecies. FREE games FTW! I know, it’s not Dungeon Runners… but it’s still frigging nice! Of course, any of you guys that need refunds for multiple-month membership purchases will be taken care of. And, as always, our helpful support staff will be available to help you with any issues you have.
Wait, there’s even more good news! While we may be going out, we’re going out in style, with a few changes to the game for the coming “End Time”. Mythic loot will drop much more frequently. We’re significantly reducing the cost of expensive King’s Coin vendors. We’re also quintupling the rate of XP gain to help you finish the game before year’s end! Finally, we’re adding a huge nuke to Townston that will blow up on New Year’s and take the game down with it. There’s more, but what fun is there in spilling all the beans? Oh, its gonna be a fun time till the end of the year! Loot finding, leveling madness.
They’ve pushed out a patch today that should make playing a little more exicitng. Here are the changes from the patch notes:
- You’ll notice a large bomb in Townston. Don’t panic. It’s only timed to destroy the game just after midnight on January 1, 2010. Happy new years!
- All XP gains have been increased by a factor of 5. Enjoy your rapid leveling!
- The chance for a mythic item to drop from a creature has doubled.
- The chance that rainbow Sam and Sally will show up in the dungeon has been increased to 100%. Their KC costs have been reduced significantly.
- The chance that an item will be members-only has been decreased to 50% for all item qualities.
- The Wishing Well’s repeat timer has been reduced to 30 minutes. It also generates two items per pull. We’ve also added many new items to the well.
- The chance to get a King’s Coin award from a PvP match has been increased to 100% regardless of the match length. Also, winning a match will give you 10 KCs while losing will net 5 KCs.
- The chance that your Bling Gnome will poop out a nice item has been massively increased.
So hurry up and try this game out and see what its all about before it goes bye-bye.
