Star Wars Galaxies patching servers with Hotfix 14.4. Changes posted to the community server include:

Death Troopers

• All camps, except for Epsilon, should have survivors pathing to the camps
• Camp Forward Watch quests no longer end early
• Camp Defense Quests now include communication from the quest NPC if you fail the quest
• Fixes for DT Armor
• Reworked the Delivery Volunteer pathing
• Adjusted respawn time to several spawners at Camp Epsilon
• Cleaned up the camp survivor behavior
• Death Troopers Hidden Content quests should clear when 10 minute timer expires
• Camp Alpha Survivor quest should now clear from player journal when failed

Graphics

• Shadow changes have been reverted for more testing
• Shadow color is now based on the time of day

Misc

• Blackwing Lightsaber Crystal will now have a more orange glow
• Adjusted origin point of ‘Imperial Oasis Incident’ painting to allow more movement flexibility

Star Wars Galaxies applied Hotfix14.3 to servers this morning with just a few fixes. For the Death Troopers content:

• Canisters should be working all of the time
• The prison outfit has been fixed

Your player should also be completely oriented with a vehicle when riding one. Previously, only the bottom half of the character was oriented correctly to the vehicle’s position leading to awkward poses.

Star Wars Galaxies is publishing game update 14 to servers Tuesday morning with this teaser introducing the Death Troopers:

After a mysterious turn of events the Empire has mustered an enormous military presence in a remote location on Dathomir. Imperial High Command has issued a travel warning to notify citizens to avoid travel to the planet if possible. Citizens that cannot avoid travel to Dathomir should be aware that certain locations are now considered restricted areas. Unauthorized travel by citizenry to these restricted areas may result in fines, arrest or both. While rumors have circulated that restricted areas are being used to contain a biological threat, no official report has been confirmed or denied by High Command.

This will likely be at the big command center that you travel to at the end of the “Something is Obviously Wrong” quest chain introduced with Update 13. But we shall see.

In addition to the Death Troopers, several fixes are on tap to the vendor and bazaar systems and the new Chronicles system. The gift for update 14 will be the Undead Rancor Statuette.

Hotfix 13.1 was pushed to servers this morning. Here are the changes from the publish notes.

I recently received this Starship Hangar trading card in the Star Wars Galaxies Trading Card Game and think it is pretty cool. It would likely fetch a lot of credits if it were tradable and its certainly the first one I’ve seen in the game.

I haven’t been able to test out how many ships it can hold as I don’t have any on this account other than the Sorusuub Luxury Yacht you see pictured below.

When deployed, it consumes 3 lots, holds 3500 items without storage upgrades and maintenance rate is 26 credits per hour. I tried letting other people store their ships but they cannot access the Hangar Controls. Which means if you want one in your player city, the owner of the hangar will have to acquire the ships to display.

I’ve always found the loot, crafting and housing system within Star Wars Galaxies to be the best of all the MMOs I’ve played. The variety is astonishing and adds an element that keeps me entertained when I don’t feel like fighting.
