Dungeon Hunter, the Diablo-like RPG for the iPhone, is available once again for purchase in the AppStore. Version 1.4 fixes the problem with loading the Forge level. The price is still $6.99. So if you haven’t tried it yet, now’s your chance to get it.
Underworlds, version 1.2, from Pixel Mine is now available on the AppStore. We first took a look at this game on our blog in this post. I am happy to report that the new city and mountain fortress areas are awesome to explore and the world has been greatly expanded.
You will find that clicking on items is much easier than in the prior version as a multi-function button has been provided on the right side of the screen which is context sensitive and knows when you want to fight, talk or pick up items.

The online ranking system has changed and you now have just 3 different leader board categories to get onto: Most Gold Collected, Most Kills, and Treasures Found. It seems to load much quicker than the prior version.

The menu options and interface has been updated as well and is more usable. The health and mana bubbles have been moved to the top of the screen and a pause/continue button provides access to the game functions.

Another new feature is the quest journal to provide you with feedback on you progress toward completing quests. And finally, the maximum level has been raised to 50 and there are two new feats that can be learned.

This is a great update to Underworlds and now all we need are some map packs every couple of months to keep us playing.

Dungeon Hunter was released on the AppStore Wednesday night and it has already been pulled from the store and purchases are being refunded. So if you didn’t get it yesterday, it looks like you’ll have to wait until they push out an update.
From a posting by Mariana on the Gameloft forums:
Hi!
Dungeon Hunter has been temporarily removed from the AppStore but it will be back soon. If you already bought the game a free update will be available as soon as the game is back on the AppStore.
I only played the game for about 30 minutes so far and other than it being laggy on my 3G I didn’t run into any issues. But apparently some players are reporting a bug where the game crashes when loading the “forge level”.
Publisher: Gameloft
Price: $6.99
Dungeon Hunter, a fantasy RPG, was released for the iPhone and iPod Touch last night. And its as good as we were hoping. The game is a hefty download at 227 MB, so you’ll want to be downloading this one through iTunes.
You play in a 3D world called Gothicus and can choose between three different avatars: a Rogue, Knight or Mage. There are tons of weapon, armor and items to find and buy and they change with the look and abilities of the avatar you are playing. Since its looking like Diablo 3 won’t be released until sometime in 2011, perhaps this will help you get your dungeon crawling fix.

Update: Download links removed due to app being pulled from the store. See this posting.
Speaking of Diablo-like games (such as Underworlds), check out Dungeon Hunter from Gameloft. It looks like it will be released in just a few weeks according to a post in their forums.
Here’s their cinematic trailer:
